Back to school... when will it end! As some of you may know, I don't have the best teacher in the world like last year... unfortunately I don't have a very good teacher at all in my opinion. So I dreaded going back to school. I knew there were lots of things I would miss from spring break like, Easter, sleeping in, NO SCHOOL, being home with my family and more sleeping in, but like all other people in the world I had to go to
school. Today wasn't as bad as I feared actually it went quite well! First we did math and then went gym class, then lunch period, then history, and next recess, and then last but not least... Science. Finally it was time for buses, my day sure went by fast! When we got home I had leftover chicken parmesan and then started to look at a few blogs. I must run on the treadmill today, though I really don't want to I have to! Sadly I haven't ran for quite a while so I must force myself to run. So here's a few pictures!
This was the first day of school!

April 8th was my baptism so before I went to get baptized we went up to D.C. It was the cherry blossom festival! In my memory of my baptism the only thing that really stood out in my mind was the pink cherry blossoms. Both my grandparents came to visit me on my baptism and some of my Aunts and Uncle's! So here are a few pictures of my special day!!

Trip To The Zoo!

Today we went to the zoo =)!
We woke up early and got dressed and ate breakfast, then we got in the car. Since the zoo was up in D.C. the car ride was an hour. We brought Madagascar to watch in the car, and to get us in the mood to go to the zoo. I brought my Zune and some books to keep me occupied. Car travel always gives me a headache though :0(
We picked Dad up from work at Alexandria, which was cool because I had never seen where he worked. On the way to the zoo we bought smoothies and I think the protein in them made my headache feel better.
After the long car ride, when we finally got there, the first animals we saw were the Llamas and the Cows.
We met up with my Mom's friend Heidi and her children. We saw prairie dogs, lions, tigers, and monkeys. Next we went to the gorilla house, there were lots of gorillas doing funny things. Later, we saw some horses, though they weren't as nice looking as Kate's horse Dutch.
Dad and I found the panda exhibit. It was really cool but you couldn't see the panda that much and then it went away. We also saw the elephants! They were huge, even the baby was huge.
All too soon it was time to go. We stopped to get something to eat on the way out of the zoo. While we were driving, I got another headache and I was hungry again. On the way back we saw the Washington Monument, a glimpse of the White House, the Pentagon, the Lincoln Memorial, Arlington Cemetery and a store called Pink, which I especially liked.
When we arrived at home we unpacked the car and then discovered out that a package had been delivered. So I asked Mom if we could open it, and we found a bunch of clothes and a few dresses. One of the dresses I will be wearing to the Ensign/ Young wedding. Thank you Mom and Dad for the clothes and for taking us to the zoo,
I had a great time and I hope everyone else did too!!

Email from Mom

This is an Email from my Mom. Enjoy!

If you want someone who will eat whatever you put in front of him
and never says its not quite as good as his mother made it...

Then buy a dog.

If you want someone always willing to go out,

at any hour, for as long and wherever you want..

Then buy a dog.

If you want someone who will never touch the remote,

doesn't care about football, and can sit ne xt to you as
you watch romantic movies..

Then buy a dog.

If you want someone who is content to get up on your bed

just to warm your feet and whom you can push off if he snores ....

Then buy a dog.

If you want someone who never criticizes what you do,

doesn't care if you are pretty or ugly, fat or thin, young or old,

who acts as if every word you say is especially worthy of listening to,

and loves you unconditionally, perpetually..

Then buy a dog.

But, on the other hand,

if you want someone who will never come when you call,

ignores you totally when you come home,

leaves hair all over the place, walks all over you,

runs around all night and only comes home to eat and sleep,

and acts as if your entire existence is solely to ensure his happiness...

Then buy a cat!

Now be honest, you thought I was going to say....then marry a man!
Why an earth would I recommend something as silly as that...???

Yummy cinnamon muffins!

Posted by Aleks at 10:22 AM

Yesterday Mom made delicious cinnamon muffins! They were so good though, I only had one or two, because they were so fattening. I think they were cinnamon muffins , with butter poured all over them, and cinnamon and sugar all over it. Anyway they were so good! It's going to take me awhile to lose those calories. Thank you Mom and your cooking helper Gwen! ( These are not our pictures, I found them on the Internet, but the muffins looked almost Exactly like them.)

Camping! hopefully

Hopefully if the weather is nice we'll be going camping in our back yard. I don't know how many people will be wanting to come. Tory said that she might, Gwen says she will, I know Mom and Dad won't be, as for everyone else I don't know. There are two problems though, the weather will have to be good, and the tent is in a box somewhere in our garage that we haven't unpacked for five years. So I have something else to look forward to.

My Thoughts

Posted by Aleks at 9:14 PM

I have been recently thinking of Aunt Theresa and Kate. As I was looking at the comments for Gwen's fave or should fab foto Friday, I saw that Aunt Theresa wrote that Kate loves caramel on her Ice cream now, and that made me remember when Kate came to visit we got the ice cream, the milk and the caramel and made the best Ice cream ever! Although I don't remember exactly what we called it, it had something to do with caramel, milk, and mountain. I guess it did resemble a mountain of milk ice cream and caramel, It was tall, fat and had milk streaming down the sides.

Spring break!

Posted by Aleks at 7:30 PM

Over Spring Break the best thing besides Easter has been staying home with my family and sleeping in. Today I slept the longest out of everyone in my family ( Except Dad because he went to work all night) even longer than Tory and Gregory. Which saying a lot because sometimes they never get up. I even recall my Mom saying that one time she knocked on Tory's bedroom door and Tory didn't answer so she was worried that something was wrong. Later I worked out on two Denise Austin videos. The first one I think was called arms and bust and the other one was called buns I think. I worked out for 1 hour 30 minutes. I did the first tape twice, arms and bust. Then I did the second video once. Each Exercise tape has three segments. Each segment is ten minutes long. In all it is 30 minutes per tape. For dinner we had Chipotle and Chicken fillet. I decided to Exercise because for awhile I had been sitting on the couch eating Easter candy.

Happy Easter everyone!

Happy Easter everybody! Today when we came home we found Easter baskets full of goodies and bubbles! We are also going to decorate Easter eggs. Although I don't know if it will be the same without Aunt Theresa! Yesterday Gwen and I went over to our friends Sarah and Rachel's house and decorated eggs. We also got chalk and we've been playing with it all day! We also went to visit Matthew's grave, and we took pictures and brought him flowers. Dad talked to us about why Easter was important and we told him "because that's the day he was resurrected. So later when Nate and I were playing Nate said " Look it's a dead red ant! Then I said" that's gross and sad. Then Nate said" it's ok, they'll come back to life, and I said " um Nate, that's funny but I don't know if bugs will be resurrected or not. Well Thank you Mom and Dad for the best Easter Ever!!!

After running on the treadmill, jumping on the pogo stick, and having running races with Jonathan, Nate, and Ellie I went to Mom & Dad's room to stand on the scale and see how much I weigh. To my surprise, I weighed 100 pounds. Now you might think that's not good but I did weigh 105 pounds before I started exercising and playing more . Also it surprised me because that week we went to King's Buffet and had cake, had green cake for saint Patrick's day , and girl scout cookies, I also hadn't been running very much. So I was very surprised to see that I had lost five pounds. I'm very glad I didn't give up on running on the treadmill, I almost did because I would lose two pounds and then gain it all back again! :) P.S sorry this is late but happy saint Patrick's day!

Today (My Birthday) 3/12/08

Today I went to school and it was pretty good, we played guitar , ukulele , harp, and the auto harp in music so I had a good time. My teacher (Mrs. Smith kept on yelling at me (I am usually the quietest one in my class). I got in trouble because we watched a movie and we had to take notes but I guess we weren't allowed to show other people our notes but she didn't tell us and I showed somebody my notes so I got in trouble.
The other bad part was at the end of the school day before they called buses, my lips started bleeding really badly because at the dentist yesterday they kept on pulling my lips to put the space maintainer in and my lips got all sore and cracked.
When we got home my friends Sarah & Rachel came over and gave me a gift, it was a tiny purse with a build-a-bear gift certificate in it and a little music thing that you put in your bear.
Next we went to the hair salon and they cut my hair in layers and gave me blended bangs, (blended bangs are where they put bangs in but you don't notice it as much) When we were about to go home my Mom surprised me when she said "Aleks do you want to get a manicure"? So I got a manicure and the lady who did my nails painted them pink and drew a design on my nails even though she didn't have to.
When we got home the family went out to eat at a Chinese resturaunt called Kings Buffet, My parents really do spoil me! Next when we finished eating my Mom and Dad took us home to have cake, they told me to go upstairs so that they could surprise me. When I could come down I found out that I did have a pink gum ball cake and that it was the best birthday cake ever! It was a pink cake with pink frosting and it had my name on it and pink and white gum balls all over it, it also had peeps which are little marsh - mallow birds, and guess what, they were pink! Christopher also made me a soup bowl at his school and he painted it! Thank you everyone for the best birthday ever!

My Birthday

Posted by Aleks at 4:50 PM

Tuesday, March 11, 2008

Tomorrow is my birthday! Instead of a guitar (because Gregory won't teach me how to play and because it costs a lot of money) I am going with my Mom to get my hair cut at some place. I am hoping to get bangs like Tory's. I asked my Mom and Dad if I could have a pink gum ball cake again too! I am turning 11 and so are two other people in my class at school.

Today I got a space maintainer at the dentist. It really hurts and whenever I eat food it pinches my gums. I don't really think it's working, it's supposed to make it so that I don't have another tooth come in behind my other teeth or something. I also can't take it off for about a year.

Yesterday Jonathan had a bowling party and Gwen had to go to a skating Party. So my Mom had to drive way up to Liberty Lanes, the bowling center which is far away from our house. Instead of driving up to Liberty Lanes to drop Jonathan off and then to drive back home and then to come back and pick him up and then drive back home, she decided to take me with her to go shopping! First we went to the fast food restaurant Sonic, and I got a delicious Salad and a tropical smoothie to share with Mom and Isabelle. Then we went to a store called Justice and got some really cute clothes, earings, and headbands.! Then it was time to pick Jonathan up from the bowling party which is close to Justice, but my Mom drove back to Justice because they double charged her for something.
